He presented Paul Harris pins to several members who achieved levels beyond the first $1000.00.  Hangup Moon and Henry Lee were honored for giving $1,000 annually.

There was a slide show that featured Governor Joe and the “most interesting man in the world”.
Governor Joe met his wife in high school in Rawlings, Wyoming. He attended Long Beach State where he received his Bachelors and Graduate degrees.  He has daughters Monica and Sonia.
He said that we are the #3 club in annual giving and 100% participants in giving to Rotary International.
A plumber in Bellflower invited him to a Rotary meeting and he was really impressed by the 4 way test.
He encouraged everyone to get involved in the various Rotary projects.
He talked about the District projects in South America and the benefits to the citizens there and for the good will generated.
Why Rotary? – People who take action to create active and sustaining change.
Change happens in your heart.
