A PVP Rotary Member Moment - What's a sel·fie?

A brief encounter with fellow PVP Rotary Member Allan "AJ" Johnson, who is interested in knowing the reason I'm in every picture?  I think what AJ really wanted to know was "How can I get my picture on La Rotaćion?" Smile... Well, the answer is simple; Take a Selfie with a Fellow PVP Rotarian and email it over!  I'll will make sure your picture is included on the next Weekly Edition of La Rotaćion.

What's a Selfie you may ask? | sel·fie ˈselfē/
noun informal | 1. a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared with La Rotaćion. "occasional selfies (alone) are ok, but posting a new picture of yourself with a fellow PVP Rotarian on La Rotaćion is the BEST!"

ROTARY-IN-THE-HOME Dinner

Great ROTARY-IN-THE-HOME dinner on Jan 27th with the Goldbergs, the Greenways, the Maruszkos, and the Fitzgeralds (Jack Goldberg is taking the picture). Lots of laughing and fun; absolutely delicious food, and wonderful for Rotarians and spouses to get to know each other better.
Thanks, Liz Fitzgerald

VENICIO & VIVIETTE

A BIG Thank you to the Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula and all Wonderful Rotarians!  I can't tell you how grateful I am for the impromptu money gift collection the club made during the February 2nd meeting--It was unexpected and OVERLY generous!  My Wife and I are forever GRATEFUL and THANK YOU from the bottom of our heart!

MEET THE TWINS: Viviette and Venicio were born at 11:24 PM and 11:53 PM (respectively) on January 16, 2018,. Viviette, is the big sister by 29 minutes. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 17.5 inches. Venicio weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 17 inches. Venicio almost had a January 17th Birthday., but managed to pull through and was delivered with 7 minutes to spare. The Happy Twins join their enthusiastically awaiting siblings, Valentin (12), Vincent (9) and Victoria Vitalia (2). Thank you again from Juan Bueno and Family.

A lovely thank you note from one of our Rotary Scholarship winners from last year.

Rotary, PV & Del Amo - Joan & Student | Dec 5th, 2017

At Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s recent Holiday Festival, I completed a raffle card and asked one of our Peninsula Heritage School students to place it in the box in front of the tree she wished. If she won, I told her, the tree was hers!

Well, the name drawn for this tree was mine! We won the tree, which was, coincidentally, beautifully decorated by the Rotary Club of Torrance Del Amo! This tree is named “The Harmony Tree” and is filled with musical instruments and ribbons of sheet music! It’s lovely! Thank you Del Amo Rotary!

Dinner with Don & Donna Duperon | September 29 ,2017 at 6:00 pm.

Dinner with the Duperons was a complete success! Thank you Don and Donna for hosting and opening your home. Food always tastes better when it’s shared, gathering with other Rotarians is not bad either, but getting to know each better is Priceless!
