District 5280 has a project to ship a container full of crutches, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices to Costa Rica as a part of the District Humanitarian trip next April.  The shipment will go even if the trip is cancelled due to Covid. We will ship the container in plenty of time so that the devices can be distributed as a part of the Humanitarian Trip.

Crutches has been collected for about 2 years and they are all stored in the Salvation Army warehouse in Bell and a good turnout of volunteers to do this work.  The work is not heavy but does need a good number of hands.  If you are available on Saturday, November 14 from 9 to 3, your hands will be most welcome.  This is a good project for Rotaractors or Interactors and if you can bring a friend or two along then so much the better. On the 14th, we will be collecting crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or other mobility devices to add to the shipment. If you have them, now is the time to donate them to a good Rotary cause.  Just bring them along on the 14th.

The address is: 5600 Rickenbacker Road, Building 1-C & 1-D Bell, CA 90201

Please let me know us know if you would like to volunteer for this amazing project.
