Aerojet Rocketdyne Team Manager Mike Lauer
NASA's Manned Space Flight Program

Mike Lauer is a man on a mission.  The mission is to put the first man and woman on the moon in 2024.  The nozzle product team manager of the Aerojet-Rocketdyne RS-25 rocket engine (a modernized version of the Space Shuttle main engine) began his career at McDonnell Douglas designing hardware for the International Space Station, which continues flawlessly in orbit after 20 years.  Later he was the lead designer of the nuclear battery that powers the Mars surface rover Curiosity.

Mike has undergraduate and graduate degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Stanford University.  When not putting things into space, he enjoys sports with his three children triplets, especially his role as an AYSO soccer referee.  We are indebted to the Rotary Club of Wilshire for recommending Mike as a speaker, whom they called "one of the best programs we have ever had."  Bring a guest.
