DG Melody St. John
2020 Oaxaca Adventure (Bring popcorn) (Zoom)
The 2019-20 yellow brick road has run out of pavement.  Along the way, our happy adventure was tested by the wicked witch named Covid 19.  Rotary proved itself able to adapt and prevail against challenges tougher than fire, rain and a field of poisonous poppies.  Last Friday, Derald reviewed a long, impressive list of accomplishments by our club.  A gate beckons ahead.  It opens to the shining city of Service Above Self, once again live and in person.

This Friday we had hoped to be back at PVGC for our club's annual patio picnic.  Unfortunately, the golf club has not yet opened for events.  Instead, we will be Zooming with Governor Melody St. John, whose Humanitarian Trip Team has produced a professional video of the District's February 2020 journey to Oaxaca, Mexico.  As most of you have not seen it, I have asked Melody to change the theme of her talk on Friday to sharing the video and answering questions at its conclusion.  There will be no lions, tigers and bears.  But there will be music, color, fun and excitement.  Join us and see why so many people experience their first "Rotary moment" on these annual adventures in giving and friendship.  We can't provide hotdogs as had been hoped.  But if you sit back with a soft drink and bag of popcorn, you will not be disappointed.

Zoom at 11:45 a.m.  Guests of members are welcome.
