Happy Fourth of July! Happy Birthday America and sending special thanks to everyone who has so bravely and proudly served this country (in many different ways).
While many think we are in tough times, there is still so much light. Personally, I'm always so proud to be a sixth-generation American and I know our club members feel the same. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "Instead of cursing the darkness, light a candle."
That is the way of Rotarians and of all good Americans. Hope your Fourth is filled with family, friends, and hope.
We are dark this Friday and return July 14th for the opening day of President Julia Parton's new year!
Last Friday, we had our annual Family Picnic at Los Verdes and it was a delight! Wonderful to see friends and family and nothing like a picnic to get a Summer Holiday weekend started right.
