Lots of news today! We have pictures from last weekend's events but I want to open with our weekly program. The year isn't over yet and we are on for this Friday at this club.
This week we have Lynn Attig coming to talk about Love on 4 Paws!! Love on 4 Paws provides dogs to visit hospital patients. I couldn't be more excited. Please join us to learn about this wonderful program on Friday at noon at the club.
In other news, what a fantastic Rotary week! Last Saturday, we participated in The Doors Open Peninsula Celebration and we had our Demotion Dinner.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered and showed up in Malaga Cove! The Doors Open Event was a big success and a wonderful showcase of PV history and businesses.

MOU Training Coming Up
Virtual MOU Certification Training Now Available - We are offering another opportunity to attend the MOU certification training for those who were not able to attend the training at the District Assembly. Take this opportunity to receive District Grant funds towards a project in your local community. The deadline for certification is June 30, 2023.
This past Saturday, we dined at The Cabrillo Yacht Club to demote (and celebrate) our President Duncan. It was a lovely evening opened by a bagpipe player, yes Scottish, but technically Scotland is under British rule so it counts. We ate prime rib and cake and heard inspired remarks from Jim Hartman on our past year. It truly was a triumphant year as we finally normalized and returned to vibrant life after a global pandemic. Many thanks to Duncan for taking the time in his busy life to represent the club.
There was one surprise. Yours truly got, "passed the bird," for which I am so grateful. It has been my pleasure to serve such a prestigious club and our Rotary work has been the light, and highlight, of my last year. Thank you, thank you!
Next, we inducted Julia and the new board and prepared for a new Rotary year! All in all, I think the evening was a success and a big thanks to Lynne who was indispensable in planning this event. Also thanks to Suzy, Jim, Jennifer Sullivan, and Julia for their support! As always, it was a team effort!
