District Governor

Visits PVP Rotary

On Friday October 10th, District Governor Alex Parajon came to our club for his official annual visit. He was instantly made aware of our October HOVOOTM as we were offsite at Hesse Park sponsoring and managing the Red Cross Blood Drive. He was then welcomed into the meeting room with SuperHero decor with lots of POW!, BAM! and WOW! signs and Spiderman balloons. His theme for the district this year is Rotarians are SuperHeroes!

At the meeting, Julia Parton Rosas was honored with the DG's SuperHero Heart of Service Award, which is presented to the member who embodies the true spirit of Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self." They are the club's most dependable and steadfast contributor, always stepping up to ensure the success of projects and the smooth functioning of the club.
Also honored by the District Governor was Rick Mendoza. PDG Rick received the SuperHero Guiding Star award, which is presented to a member who lights the way for others with their positivity, encouragement, and vision. They inspire fellow members to dream bigger, act bolder, and stay hopeful, even in challenging times. As a superhero of inspiration, their leadership and optimism serve as a beacon, guiding the club toward a brighter future.
We also inducted Judi Rawie-Rook. Assistant District Governor Joyce Kleifield conducted the induction and then the DG presented her with the Rotary pin.
