Your Weekly Update

Friday September 27th, 2024
Dear Rotarians,

Time to catch up... I went to the President's lunch this weekend and the DG shared they are still pushing Foundation Celebration tables, tickets, etc. So, this Friday, we'll have a sign-up at the mtg. If you want to go to the Foundation Celebration on November 2nd at Sofi Stadium and are not making the meeting, please let Allen or me know.

If you missed it, we had police officers visit the club last week and it was very informative. This Friday, we are celebrating Rick's birthday at the library so I hope to see you there!

Board members - thanks for responding and we are confirmed for a board meeting on October 11th before the club meeting.

Disaster Relief Lebanon

The recent violence in Lebanon has left people killed, thousands injured, and many more displaced. The Rotary Club of LA Cedars is working with Rotary Clubs in Lebanon to support the affected Lebanese people fleeing their homes. Many of these families will be staying in public facilities until they can find temporary housing or return. Until then, they are in dire need of resources to manage their daily living.

All funds raised will be sent directly to the Beirut Cedars Rotary Club; they are working in coordination with other Rotary Clubs in Lebanon to purchase and supply these families with the following:

▪️Mattresses
▪️Food and Water
▪️Medication

We will continue to monitor the situation and ask that you please keep Lebanon in your thoughts and prayers.
