A Stellar Speaker Introduces Us to the
Lunar Museum of Art
Our speaker last week was Michael Potter, a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Lunar Museum of Art (LUMA), and many other accomplishments including space and technology documentaries such as "Orphans of Apollo and "The University."
His focus for our presentation was LUNA which self identifies as "the first universal embassy for humanity's creative envoys." LUMA actually has an exhibit on the moon at this moment. There it contains a variety of digital art pieces from a global community of artists, scientists and visionaries.
It reached the moon on March 6, 2025 and was the first museum on the Moon. Unfortunately, the module containing the museum and other projects landed on its side and lost power shortly after landing as the solar panels were misaligned and could not provide power to continue.
Congratulations to Paul Klose for guessing the exact number of bottles of FireBall found during our recent Adopt-a-Highway HOVOOTM. Somehow he managed to come up with the number 72. The picture above shows is prize.
We have a new applicant, for which this serves as first notice. He is Patrick Stednitz. He resides in Palos Verdes Estates and works at Jubilate Academy. His Proposed Professional Classification is Writer.
