In case you missed it, last Friday the 5 high school recipients of our Rotary scholarships presented at the club. They were a very high-energy and dedicated group of students and they each spoke for about 1 ½ minutes & two of the parents accompanied them to our club meeting.
Because the subject of program speakers was directly affecting the local real estate market, several realtors were in attendance. The speakers were from the LA County Fire Department, Kathleen De Los Reyes & Viri Angel, who presented on the new AB-38 which deals with fire hazards of vegetation adjacent to single-family dwellings and the required mediation necessary to complete any real estate transaction – very restrictive! It was a great meeting, with lots of people interacting, before, during, and after the meeting.
