Shana Tovah! Or, Happy New Year to our Jewish friends. For this "tribe member" Rosh Hashanah always marks the beginning of the busy season. It certainly seems that way now as life has returned to a semi-normal post-Covid/in-person world. Speaking of Covid and pandemics, we had the pleasure of hearing from Dr. David Meyers from the Lunquist Institute this past Friday.
Dr. Meyers gave a fascinating and terrifying presentation on the diseases we're facing right now (think post-surgical hospital infections) and what we might have to battle in the future (think Black Mold). The takeaway is that we need further medical research and new vaccines to keep ourselves safe as the disease landscape changes. So, get your vaccines if your health allows. Also, they are looking for four million dollars to begin their new vaccine trial, so if you happen to have an extra 4 million dollars lying around, or know someone who does, pass the request along please.
