Once again there is a lot of news, so please pay attention. Things to note - we have a business mixer at the
Cabrillo Museum & Aquarium next Thursday and need to show a club presence. The info is below. Sign up and show your pretty faces!
We have TWO HOVOOTM's this weekend!! Saturday is Coastal Clean Up Day and Harry Kitter would LOVE to see some members come out and support the effort. Please email me or Rick Humphrey for more info. Information for that is also below.
This Friday we are dark. We are back at noon on the 29th for Brad Beach from the CA Dept of ABC (alcohol beverage control). We will meet at Los Verdes.
Our most important business of this newsletter is our member spotlight on Nagihan Ozturk. Nagi has been an incredible addition to the club. She is not only smart, interesting, and lovely to look at - she has a heart of gold. And, she is one of the best singers in the club. I'm not playing favorites the woman can sing!
Member Spotlight Nagihan Ozturk
Founder of LA Film & Music production.
Nagi started her musical journey playing the piano with polyphonic choirs. Next, she finished the conservatory where she performed Opera and gave charity concerts in multiple countries. She played on the soundtrack of the Oscar-winning novel The Chronicles of Narnia. Nagi performed as a mezzo-soprano at the first opening concert of the art center, which was opened in the name of the world-famous Opera artist Leyla Gencer.
Nagihan, who has her own music school in Istanbul, has helped more than 100 students prepare (and get scholarships) for The Royal Academy of Music certificate program, which is her area of expertise.
Nagihan is also a Rotarian in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club and continues to perform concerts in non-profit organizations and the Nachef Singers Choir in Los Angeles. She also works as a Composer & Vocal coach for her own production company.
Frontida Records
Last Friday, we heard from Fontina Records, a fascinating non-profit that helps create and manage health records for refugees. We will have more information from them down the line.

Peartree Lane Project
Peartree Lane Project is up and running. If you would like more information or to donate click the button or use the QR code!
Last year, we completed most of the raffle tickets in a digital format where you simply had to complete the information for one ticket and the rest of the tickets that you purchased were auto-filled electronically. Due to the success and ease of this format, we will continue it this year. To make it even easier this year, we have created an upload link- return all tickets electronically and we will print your tickets and place them in the hopper for the drawing.
