I hope everyone is enjoying the chilly weather. Makes this New Yorker feel right at home! Just remember a hat and mittens when you're out walking the pups.
In club news, we had our holiday party last Friday at The Elk's Lodge and it was a blast. We learned quite a bit about our members and they're "stealing" habits. Thank you to everyone who attended and brought ornaments. Lots of pictures below and even more on our Facebook page.
Also, big thank you to our Angel Tree participants. Gifts were delivered to the PV Sunset holiday party and I didn't steal ANY of them.
We have some important business today, so here are the updates:

The Pageant of the Arts is an opportunity for high-school age students to showcase their talents and win significant prizes! The First Place in each contest receives a $1,000 cash prize; Second Place $500; and Third Place $250.
Each Rotary club in District 5280 may send one contestant for each Art. These may be the winners of contests at the club, or simply sponsored.
Timing is important – students should have the winter school holidays and the Spring holidays on which to work on their entries – so start recruiting now!
For more details on the program, including recruitment material and how-to advice, visit the Pageant of the Arts page.
Each spring, 200 high school students from the Greater Los Angeles area meet for 2 ½ days to improve their skills as leaders in their communities. Students participate in experiential learning activities, including active leadership workshops, team building activities, and a RYLA Olympics and talent show. Set high in the San Bernardino Mountains, the camp is breathtaking and completely private, giving the students a peaceful environment in which to learn more about themselves, and their peers.
We meet at our regular time at the club this week. Our very own President Duncan has planned a special musical presentation for the holidays. Don't miss it!
