DESCRIPTION:Join us in Welcoming our District Governor Makiko Nakasone to t
he Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club. DISTRICT GOVERNOR MAKIKO NAKASONE
Happy New Rotary Year!      You have had an outstanding start
from the patriotic Fourth of July parade to a spectacular inaugural meetin
g to a generous youth scholarship presentation. I have seen your activitie
s on Facebook and Instagram and am amazed how energized you are to serve
your own clubs and the people in need in your community. Rotary does not t
ake a long summer vacation because there are people who need our help.
On July 18\, I embarked on my ambitious 2.5-month-long Distri
ct Governor’s Official Club Visits. As your DGN and DGE\, I had visited
most of the district’s 63 clubs and met most of the club presidents priv
ately\, listening to their goals and discussing how the District could sup
port them. At the club visit\, I look forward to learning more about your
club. I hope you will get to know me better so we can work together toward
s our common goals. I am so excited to know that by the end of September\,
I will have met you all. My team and I are planning many exciting worksho
ps\, events\, projects and training sessions throughout the year. So\, sta
y tuned. Together\, let’s “Create Hope in the World”!   Makiko Naka
 sone District Governor 2023-24
